Help us deliver a "Truckload of Warmth"

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® we're committed to giving back to our community. That's why we're organizing the "Truckload of Warmth" drive to collect winter necessities for the Self-Help Closet and Pantry of Des Plaines. This drive runs now until October 18. We welcome help from our customers, local businesses and organizations, and anyone interested in making winter a bit warmer for local people in need.

The Self-Help Closet and Pantry serves men, women and children. We are collecting new and gently used winter apparel items of all sizes, including:

  • Coats and windbreakers
  • Hats
  • Gloves or mittens (water resistant)
  • Jeans and pants
  • Sweaters and sweatshirts
  • Boots
  • New socks and underware
  • Diapers and wipes of all sizes

Here's how you can help:

  • Bring donations to our Des Plaines office, or one of the following public collection points:
    • Des Plaines Public Library
    • Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce
    • Iroquois Community School in Des Plaines
    • Village Bank and Trust (Des Plaines, Mt. Prospect, Arlington Heights, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights)
    • KinderCare of Des Plaines
    • Des Plaines Park District- Administrative and Leisure Center, Prairie Lakes Community Center, Lake Park Golf Course Clubhouse, and Golf Center
  • Collect donations at your office or church - we will provide boxes for collections and transportation of donations at the end of the drive.
  • If you're a customer, give donations to our movers at the completion of your move.
